Hello readers! It's been a while, almost like 3 months! I've been out and about, going to Seattle and DC last month. I also dropped out of college, but I'm not too hung up about it. I had the college experience and I think I'm just done with it. I have a job interview lined up tomorrow for a tea shop! So hopefully I can work towards becoming a tattoo artist when I finally get a job. I've had a couple interviews last week, and I'm honestly surprised at how well I did despite having such little notice before them. It's been an interesting couple of months, but I'm ready to write my reviews!
For the month of June, I watched my beautiful best friends graduate and got to share some of the joy of being able to move into a new chapter of life. I think a symbol I would assign June is the eel. I actually had a delicious bowl of grilled eel over rice with Venus at that one Japanese restaurant in the plaza next to the noble drive station (my San Diego friends, you know it). But much like the elusive and speedy eel, I find my own fate has slipped from my grasp, but not in a bad way. I never thought I would drop out of college, but hey life comes at you fast. I found that I felt the most peace I've felt in a long time, being able to quit school. I let myself be guided freely, allowing myself to hide in those rocky crags and live my life from prying eyes. I'm very happy for the way that June went, much thanks to Venus. It was a new adventure everyday, especially when I went to visit her. Another quick food review: neoguri seafood ramen is so delectable. I would 100% recommend if you like a chewier noodle and love seafood. The broth is so flavorful and the little seaweed slices are so yum.
For the month of July, I think a huge symbol would unsurprisingly be the horse. Umamusume is really fun and the girls are really pretty. I know it's gacha slop but it's just so endearing to me. July was characterized by wildness, endurance, and also speed. Having to keep up with my wild partying (now who did that to me?), life moving quickly and people around me scrambling almost to keep themselves upright. I actually moved mid or late July back to my hometown. It only had like 2 days notice before I had to go home, so I packed up super quick and had to leave behind my dearies in San Diego. My review for July is that if you're super into cute anime girls and also fun wholesome games, you gotta check out umamusume. (spoilers they're real gay).
And for the month of August, I want to say that the lamb is a symbol of how the month went. It felt very fresh and new, but I was also very vulnerable at the time. I broke up with my partner of many years (spoiler alert we're actually back together haha). But I had an interesting time being single for like 3 or 4 weeks! I had a blast in DC with Venus, everyday was so perfect. I'm happy to have cooker for her too, I just love cooking for people. A review for this month is that viral one pot salmon pasta is not just TikTok bullshit, it's actually pretty tasty. Another review is that when TnT market in chino hills opens up, for sure check it out! I went to one that opened in Seattle when I was there visiting my brother, and it is absolutely every East Asian person's dream. Seattle was really beautiful and so eye opening. Mostly because I opened up to my mom about things and it went well! I think this month I also went to Ravefurrest with Jirachi! I saw mefaroom for the first time since I followed their music all those years ago and I will say it did not disappoint at all. Their set was so awesome and they played a lot of my favorite songs! Plus, the deer guy on stage with them was really cute hehe... (jirachi agrees with me).
So I'm looking forward to what the rest of September spells for me! Enjoy your day readers, and go outside!
